First thing, I apologize if this is the incorrect forum to post this. I wanted to post in the "Computer Help" but was unsure if this kind of posting would be suitable. If it needs to be moved please do so.

I am currently running a business with just a homepage saying a generic "Website coming soon". I've had no need real need to complete it until recently when I've began to expand my business. Currently the domain name and web-hosting space is all done through IPage.

My experience with web design is minor HTML and Dreamweaver as well as a few other converting programs that did most of the work for me. The problem I'm going to have is making a page where my clients can schedule a drop off date/time for my services as well as pay their invoice online. Maybe even making a log in for the website for future return.

Does anybody have recommendations for me? I need a professional looking website and don't know if it's best that I make it or have someone else get it started and I edit the website content in the future. I'm also on a pretty tight budget for the next couple months so I wasn't sure if it was possible to have something done under a couple hundred bucks.

Thanks guys, you're always very helpful!

You probably want someone to install a generic ecommerce system for you and maybe alter a default theme a bit. That should be doable for the money you have specified or less.

If you're not in a blazing rush, ie up for learning as you go along, I'd recommend setting up a free wordpress website. Find the right theme that fits what you're looking for (and is well reviewed and preferably supported), and you can essentially find plugins for everything that you're looking for, most free or very low cost.

I don't think a blog (i.e. wordpress) is the way to go. Yes it's simple, but no, I don't think it will do what he needs.

I've never really played with wordpress and don't know its full capabilities but am curious. What exactly can't it do in this case? Create user profiles, shopping cart integration? I think one of its best features is the ability to let others admin the site at certain levels?

I'll help, but it'll cost you $670 million dollars for my no-bid no-compete contract :awe:

That is not what a blog software does. I'm not saying it's impossible, I just suggested a better alternative before.
