Am I the only one that thinks big deal?

who gives a crap if some terrorist has to wear his underwear on his head or play naked twister with a bunch of his fellow murderes.

Big fvckin deal, criminals and terrorists have more rights now adays than any civilian alive in Iraq at present day. I say you start executing a dozen of them for every civilian they behead.

England is just a sacrificial goat of the media since they can't put Bush and Rummy up for war crimes

a family court lawyer for a Military criminal case? just wow....

Maybe they are just handling the defense fund.

Yeah looks like they have onother civilian (Rick Hernandez) and an Army Captain on the team. The civilian lawyers are useless IMO.

Actually, in high profile court martials, there is often civilian counsel. Given the means, I frankly wouldn't be satisfied with just the counsel the military decided to assign to my case. Especially in a case like this, where the government has a strong interest in getting a conviction.

Here's an article about a guy that has defended in some high profile courts martial, and is defending another of the prisoner abuse suspects.

After working as a military lawyer, Spinner taught during the mid-1980s at the academy, where he was named outstanding judge advocate in 1986.

This isn't a family lawyer from Denver.

While it's hard to argue with photos, she may have just been made the scapegoat for incompetent (or worse) commanders. It has been alleged in federal court documents that the commander of the prison, Janis Karpinski, has personally watched and laughed at prisoners being abused. As almost always happens, the top commanders will get scott-free, with a mild reprimand (if any), while the privates will suffer.

Yea, he's also not apparently representing PFC England, but rather another suspect in this case (SPC Harman). I just posted the link as an example of civilian practice in courts martial.
