A very dear friend of mine with minimal computer skills is in need of a website for a business that he's going to be opening. He's going to be needing help in getting a domain name, reliable hosting, initial site design and ongoing maintance. He's willing to pay of course but the rates need to be reasonable and the webmaster needs to be RELIABLE or I'll be driven crazy and I won't have that. The company will be focusing on process serving for civil actions,so submit your ideas, proposals, creditenials and your rates to me via pm please.

I can assist with domain registration and reliable hosting but not site design/maintenance.

What kind of business is it? Will he be selling products online? If so, you might want to steer him toward osCommerce. It's an open source e-commerce-type script that's written entirely in php - good stuff, from what I hear.

Yep, I like oscommerce too. It's very customizeable too.

I can help with all that you've mentioned. If you can give me more specifics about the scope of the project, I can give you a price. Although ThePresence is probably the most talented person here (at least for graphic design).

Here's another pointer to ThePresence. If this was a C program, he'd be cached in memory by now.

LOL, I used to be a process server, quite dangerous in some areas...

What are they trying to do? Set up a site with client numbers and service dates? That would be the only thing I can think of for that business. Set up a site so clients could be listed (by number or something) then have the service date, time, address, description, listed under that name. Is that what you are trying to do?

If you would actually read the news, I just put it up. No need to be **sholes. :| I use Dreamweaver MX as well, I just dont like the way it does frames or tables.

because all sites use frontpage when they're just put up right? There's a difference between representing yourself as having your own web page/site and representing yourself as a web designer. Don't give yourself airs and take a damn chill pill.

Hello GeekBabe,

A friend of mine referred me to your request. I am currently helping out person who posted a similar request on this forum. I would like to be considered as your web designer. Please view my portfolio and get in touch with me, and we can go though my process for developing a professional web presence. I have many years of experience in web design and own a web design company that helps small businesses develop a web presence. I have helped compaines out, like your friends, by giving them advice on the most appropriate hosting company and such. I have also provided them with professional web sites, as you will notice from my portfolio below.

Please get in touch with me, I would love to hear from you, and your friend.

Thank you,

Uday Kodukula
