I know this is a mistake, but.....

Here is the current website...

I've been playing around and have a new main page:

Here it is..

None of the links work on the test side.

Your flames, derogatory remarks, etc... are welcome.

PS- Please don't give me crap about the backgrounds. The customer just won't listen. That's why I'm trying the redesign. 🙂

amish 🙂

i know you don't care about backgrounds...but you might want to try and convince them about the photo's page background. makes it really hard to read and is hard on the eyes. i like the new one better as in when you mouse over the buttons they turn colors...a lot nicer.

I don't know what your thought's are on Flash, but it might give the page more activity if you took the bottom menus and animated them. You could just do some mouseovers too. Either way, it looks better, but a still a bit static.

Do you have Adobe Image Ready or Fireworks?

Nope... I've never heard of them. 🙂

Seriously? How about Photoshop? You can make .gifs for mouseovers. You could do it in lesser graphics apps, PS just makes it easier. Same with ImageReady( Adobe ) and Fireworks ( Macromedia ).

eh... I don't particularly care for either of them. The weird eyeball-ish link thing is, well, weird. The tiger stipe (or whatever it is) background kinda sucks. The picture of the band isn't even very good. It's very "homemade-ish".

What do you suggest to fix that?

The band picked out the backgrounds and the buttons. I just tried to make it look nice. 🙂

The funny thing is that the band is absolutely in awe with it's current incarnation... 🙂

Amish, I find the new buttons a little hard to read -- I really have to stare at the text to "get it"

<< nice change 🙂

might want to change the font size on the buttons, they are a little too small
>>

That font looks kinda crappy at that size. I think I'll have to try a different font.

ok...

It has no contrasting colours what-so-ever.
The button, as mentioned, are hard to read and very amature looking. Standard belvels with textures are a no-no.
The tiger strip background is a no-go, too.

It doesn't have structure, give it some.

In what way are the buttons "Amature Looking"??

I don't understand what you mean??

What do you mean it doesn't have structure?

well, its too plain, appears as if theres not much there. Those buttons are wierd.
disturbing to look at - but maybe thats why they like it

I like the new look compared to the old. It is still a little plain though. I like the layout of the new design, but I think I little bit of color on the buttons would be nice. (Yes, I know that when you hover over them they change color.) 🙂 I don't know if that helps or not, but that's my opinion. 🙂 Looks good though. 🙂
