I'd say $1,500 is a more realistic figure (but I'm no web designer).

BTW who's the hot woman on the web site?

It's slick, but the price to keep it updated seems high. If he's any good (his designs are good, but being good is a bit different 😉), it shouldn't take him more than a couple of minutes to update. I'll do it for her.

you are a bad boy.....

Fine, he will do it for him 😀

Any reason for that pic though?

don't have a clue 😕

And this one?

Or is that to turn on all the females 😉

Exactly, if I were a customer looking into your business would this image convey a sense of trust and confidence in your business? Obviously when it comes to being a content Editor this web designer is asleep at the whell and wants to be paid for it.

Hell, I'll do the whole thing for $1000 and install the news program of your choice for updating the events page.

Do you have a link to designer's own page?

You have to look at the target audience too. Are ricers and performance enthusiasts going to be put off by pictures of fat guys in small shirts and guys flicking off the camera? I don't think so, but I don't usually hang out with those types.

it's a nice site and all, but I wouldn't have paid that much . . ..

Nice, I would argue that from a technical design perspective. But to each his own. 🙂

maybe nice from a technical standpoint but from a $$ standpoint he got robbed.

He hasn't commited to anything further....but already paid the 4K....
I'm just trying to prevent him from being further ripped off.

*edit* Good points too about the target audience.....get that fat A55 dude off there!

$4k for taht?!?!?!?!? geezes, that is insanely expensive. I was expecting some flash based site w/ a lot of coding... not that I can do the graphic work, but... $4k!?!?!?!? your friend needs to find someone else.

keep em coming guys

my friend is getting ready to fire this web designer right about now.....:disgust:

be brutal in the true AT style please....hehe

I think the design does look nice and flows well.

I would change the links on the products page to open in new windows since they go to other company websites.

Is the designer hosting the site or is your friend taking care of that elsewhere?

Something to keep in mind: the cost of living in Hawaii is pretty high compared to much of the continental US. Also, it's supply vs demand. If they designer can keep getting 40+ hours a week of work at his/her rates, then he/she has no need to lower the rates.

lol.. I was thinking to myself, man there sure are a lot of Hawaians there.. Then I noticed.. haha

Site looks good, I would say $1500 or so

looks good to me, has a very tuneresque feel to it, but 4k is way too much. You could probably get someone to do it here for half....I've missed you Lava. How's your sis doing?😉 😉

what makes me suspicious though is the web designers domain name
is for sale....

http://www.impactdesigns.com

?

He says that's his domain name? I think you either got it wrong or he's lying.

I could go knock on the company's door though. 😛

maybe the Pig Farm n0c?

I don't think this requires a pigfarm. I know enough lawyers in DC to keep it out of the pigfarm. 😉
