Website change monitoring?

Hi!

I'm looking for software/extensions that I can use to monitor and see if a website has changed. Basically I'm looking to watch ebay and some hobby shops to see if items I want have popped up and if they have be the first one to snatch them up! I'd like to be able to have a notification on my PC during certain hours and have a text/alert sent to my phone while I'm at work if this is at all possible.

I've already looked at check4change and update status but it appears that I have to keep the tabs open at all times. Fairly annoying and not really a complete solution. Are there any other options out there?
