Funny. My Samsung has the exact same thing as what they describe for Palm.

Odin will put your Vibrant 100% back to stock. Turns out that when I bricked mine, I just didn't know how to use Odin right.

So this article is basically just explaining that whoever wrote it has no first hand knowledge of Anroid.

A kernel that could contain gods knows what. Android people seem to love to install any and all kernels to find one that suits them best. Which is fine if you do your research, but a decent number have installed ones they know nothing about out of boredom. There could be malicious code in a non stock kernel/rom.

Yeah I get that, but the article kind of makes is seem that all hacked OS's are basically chalked full of viruses. I am running Galaxo on my i7500, and have tried GAOSP. Both have a big community around them, and are better than the stock firmware.

Besides how would a "malicious OS" be specific to Android? Someone could do the same thing with webOS.
