Webhosting help -- I gotta kill the remote linking!

People are remote linking some of my images. The co-owner of the site is uploading his own pictures after I told him not to as well. Our bandwidth transfer was really close to going over last month.

Is there a way to kill remote linking to images?

I don't know what type of server my host is using. It has a bunch of _vti folders and a .htaccess file though.

I was reading around on google about it but it just gets me more confused.
