Webex rocks!

I just finished my first webex support session...man, I've been missing out! What would normally take 2 hours to fix over the phone, I was able to do it in 15 minutes 😀

It's a little slow, but not too bad at all. We just got it last month and it's well worth the $150/mo fee.

I don't normaly take support calls, but someone got a hold of my direct line... :|

one of the companies we deal with uses it and it definitely is nice and saves time.

Meh, expensive and it requires their intervention to allow you access. For big clients I put SSL-Explorer open vpn on a server (If they don't have a hardware VPN solution) - and then openvnc as a service /w password on all the pc's/servers.

I get their written permission in the service contract of course 😉

if that's the case, I would just use vpn with rdp...

I'm talking about people out in the real world where you don't have control over their network or computers...

I'd like to see a company that allows a complete stranger to do that on their network...they would be idiots! Hell, I don't even do that for external networks that I've built...too much liability, contract or not. I always give them the chance to deny my access.

it's like spyware...the good ones get you to consent to it...like google desktop 😉

We have a subscription too. It works as it should, kinda clunky in some ways, of course VNC, RDP, etc are better, but if you absolutely have to connect to someone's pc, it's the easiest way to go.

I just have ultravnc in listen mode running on my pc, and whenever someone needs help they just connect to me and I fix there issue.
