webcam software - home security

hey, are there any programs that you all reccomend?

i will be going on vacation and want to have a webcam keeping tabs on things. I want it to be able to upload 2 frames per second to a ftp server (at least, i'll be gone for about a week) and/or save a copy on the hard drive (in case no one steals the comp). any idea how much space is needed if this will be running 24/7 for 7 days at 2 fps? I have a DSL wireless connection so i can put this setup nearly anywhere.

how good is the motion detection on these types of programs? i can up the fps and just reduce the time. any that will turn on at certain times? (ie. 9pm to 6am?)

it's a barebones celeron 500 w/ 256 mem a matrox mystique vid card. barebones to keep energy consumption down.

thanks.

I know the creative webcam comes with a motion detection software... anytime something moves, it will snap a picture and save it on the local PC or upload it to another server thru FTP...

This might be your best bet... better than constantly recording at low fps...
