Web Site Designers: Got Another Question

I'm working on a new top navbar for my web site. You can see the new navbar on a test page here. You can see the old navbar by clicking on any of the buttons in the new navbar. By doing so, I'm sure you'll notice that a selection box appears around the button/image you clicked. You'll also notice, that when you click your browser's back button (in IE 5.5 and IE6 at least) to go back to the test page with the new navbar, that the selection box is still around the button/image you clicked. My question is, is there any HTML code I could use that, 1) does not allow the selection box to appear around the image when it's clicked, and/or 2) get the page to un-select any image that is selected when the page is loaded?

Thanks for your help.

Edit: The selection boxes are a non-issue with Netscape 4.7.

Urgghh! It's selected on the two computers I use, and a friend noticed them as well. You know what selection boxes I am referring to, right? Those gray, dotted-lines, that are almost like a temporary border around an image when clicked.

nope, doesnt do it in IE 6. Anyway, it's a browser issue, and I dont think that there's anything you can do about it.

I have IE 6 and it does that, IE has always done that and I've always hated IE for doing that.

Dont know can it be "fixed", but if you find solution I'm more than interested to hear it.

as far as i know, its a random occurance, and it's quite lame. I do know, there's nothing you can do about it.
