Okay.. So, a friend of my mom's wants to host his own web server. I've got the page all setup.. and I think i've got it all setup in win2k.. but.. one thing.. i can't start the server.. because something else is ussing port 80. it starts if i put it on a different port.. but.. i want it to be on port 80 (for obvious reasons).. any one have any ideads?

what kind of connection to they have to the internet, the best thing I can think of is that the service provider has port 80 blocked.

The problem is that you probably have another web server installed and running on that machine. (I mean it was installed before). You might want to check the processes going on in the task manager for something webserverish.

1.. no.. isp allows port 80.. and besides.. the sofware wont let me start.
2.. i dont think that there are any other services running. i just installed the os last night. so nothing *shuold* be running..but. ya know. m$.. who know's..
one other problem i've noticed.. trying to do streaming live video from a vid. camera.. but like.. i keep getting blue screens and it saves the memory to hard drivr when i start it sometimes.. any ideas?
voodoo 3 3500 tv is the card.
