How would you guys publish this ? Every different color is a different link(and picture), except the background picture is static.

Thanks in advance!

You mean like what program to use? Or how to go about setting up the code?

Two recommendations.
1. You could use Macromedia Flash and make each colored pic a graphic and then have said graphic be a link. You could do some nice rollovers with them too.
2. Do it in Frontpage or Dreamweaver and make each color a hotspot link. A hotspot is just an area within a single pic that would be a link.

Hope this helps.

I mean how to "code" it. Design it. And I'd rather use sftp.

I also have a little gimmick on the background pic, there are 4 heads and the heads change if you MouseOver it. The problem is that the pictures overlap sometimes.

Flash or you can use Dreamweaver (or assorted other programs) to make a map with clickable areas of the image.

won't use flash. I am already using Dreamweaver, I'm just having a problem with the pictures that overlap. And if I make a big picture of all non-background-pics, they're photos so I can't really use GIF -> no transparency.

CSS, man. (z index and position:relative comes to mind)

I hope every major Browsers supports that...

OK, but there still would be no transparency.

I wouldn't publish that. It's lame. When you click on something you want to know where it's taking you. Why the hell would you just randomly click on colored outlines?

Fred, did you read the thread? They are pictures, I just didn't want to show them to you so I used a solid color.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's mystery meat navigation.

Do I care? The page is for me and my friends, I don't care what some random geek on an Internet forum thinks about the design itself. Not every webpage has to be professional, period. I might post the link when I'm done.

Too bad the borders look sucky with GIFs. I have to find something else, thanks anyway hotchilisauce.
