Web page encryption question

I have found a web page that says it makes browsing safer by encrypting information between its server and you, and by sanitizing cookies and scripts. Safeweb

I noticed that the temporary internet files (like jpegs stuff) still get stored on the hard drive. So I was wondering if anyone knew is that data encrypted until it reaches the computer, or can it be stored in the proxy server's cache.

Reason I ask is because work is getting real tight on web browsing. I am not doing porno or anything, but if I could find a way to browse these forums and read my email (yahoo) without getting caught, that would be great.
 
not sure how it works exactly, but i thought safeweb, anonymizer and the like just act as proxies between you and the site you want? you can turn off caching in IE to prevent it from saving anything to the HD btw

You have a proxy at work? If the proxy is setup as I believe it will cache the information. Usually the proxy accepts your connection and then opens a connection to the web server. The webserver responds to the proxy server and any information you need is sent from the proxy server to you. So, the connection would be decrypted at the proxy and stored there. The encryption is 128bit RC4 though 😛
