Was poking around at meemsites (link that maverick gave) and they have a pretty nice plan. It runs 9.95 a month so it's ~119 a year which is a bit over your budget but you get 750MB storage and a whopping 25GB of transfer/month.

site5 nice packages there, splitting a DS with a buddy when they come out 🙂... you can get something like 22gigs of bandwidth with half a gig of space for 25 bucks a month.

While were on this subject does anybody know a host that allows you to have mp3's and videos online? I am running my andromeda collection from my personal server at wrok so I can stream mp mp3's anywhere but I cant find a good host that allows you to store media stuff on their servers.

DixieSys lets you store mp3s and vids. Just no porn.

same here. can't get a better deal if you ask me.

Not to be a party pooper.. but I pay $5.00 month for 500megs space and unlimited transfers.. only big issue is no MySQL support YET.. They claim to be working on it..

I get unlimited POP3 and webbased e-mail.. so on so fourth..

I actually just signed up with this company today. He had a decent offer with the space / bandwidth I wanted at a very reasonable price. I've changed the nameservers but they haven't been updated yet so I'm not sure how fast I can download from it (although I was able to upload at ~833Kbps which I think is about max for my cable modem service).

A few of the hosts I was considering had their servers @ rackshack, so I decided to go w/ mas3000 since he was using a different and hopefully better/more reliable data center. My acct was set up very quickly after payment and I've already set all the settings I want up in CPanel, just waiting for the nameservers to take effect.
