i wanted to put the free web space i get with the new cox.net service plan by using it to host some files so some of my friends can download them from me. cox doesnt give you much instructions on how their server works other than telling you to upload via cute ftp. so i uploaded a file (lets call it file.mp3) but when i type in the address (for ex: http://mywebpage/file.mp3) it gives me an error message saying it does not exist. i also tried linking to it from within their sample page and get the same error. i even tried embedding it but it didnt play at all (saying path is invalid). does anyone know how cox has their servers set up and how (if possible) i can use my space to host files?

<-html newbie😕

you realize it's case sensitive, right?

So, if you uploaded File.mp3, and tried to download file.mp3, it won't work. (always start by checking the simple things)
