So netfirms may be good for cheap deals , but if I see "connection close" one more time I will punch my LCD.

So I am looking for suggestions.

I would prefer a place that will let me host multiple domains on my account

Must have PHP, must have mysql

Not really that concerned about space or transfer since my sites are small right now

MUST Have good service

Thanks :)

Thanks for the warning, but I am looking for current suggestions not archived ones, and not free web hosts.

Heres a WTF for not searching before complaining about me not searching

But really you should have searched. The free web hosts on this forum are great. Nothing wrong with them.

Just for kicks, I bought the Business Unlimited plan under Unix. About $350 for 2 years paid up front. 5 free domain names, support for 16 domains each with unique IPs, unlimited hard drive space/emails/subdomains/databases, 3 terabytes of bandwidth a month, etc. I fully intend to test the limits of the hosting package :D

Edit: Also, I have gotten live tech support within 5 minutes of requesting it every single time I've needed help.

http://www.ixwebhosting.com/index.php/v2/pages.tos - IV. "Fair-Use" Resource Assignment
The intention of IX Web Hosting is to provide ample resources for customer convenience, so that customers needn't to worry about exceeding limits.

OP - Get a list of 5-10 hosting companies and pick the one you want just like you would if you were assigned to do this task at work. Think of it as almost another employee you're hiring.

1. Are they the kind of company to do things right the first time?
2. What's their track record? Have they had any major issues worth noting?
3. How long have they been in business directly to clientelle via their website?
3a. With that given time, would you expect their services to have matured enough for a proper service without issues that should not arise?
4. Support - how quickly do they respond to your presales email?
5. Price - Depending on your usage, this may or may not be a concern because for a lot of what we see on AT, it's just a matter of a difference by 1 or 2 digits in price.

I know that a lot of AT doesn't agree with going to this extent to pick a host, but this is something you just need to do right one time.

Two closing tips:
1. You get what you pay for.
2. Buy what you need and upgrade later - don't try to find a 50GB disk space plan if all you need is 5MB.
