web-hosting suggestions please

Hi,

I would like to get some suggestions about web-hosting. I'm interested in hosting an advertisements free personal website & would need something around 100MB space. I won't be requiring perl, php kind of scripting support, but some multimedia features like flash would be helpful. I've never hosted a website and don't have any experience with designing one either, so would initially keep things pretty simple. I would also register my personal domain name or get it registered through the folks with whom I host my site.

Do you guys know of good (cheap & reliable) webhosting sites? any suggestions, recommendations?

is the 1and1.com deal still going?

if you don't need scripting support then you could use the webspace likely provided by your ISP.
Flash is just a file & the rest is client-side. nothing to worry about with hosts/flash.
