is it true that you should be careful about webhosts that offer unlimited throughput/month? I heard that places that offer that are kind of shady cause there's no way they can reliably offer that.

yup, thats true...there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidhth. someone has to pay for it. Also, the bandwidth is generally the most expensive part to maintain in webhosting, so proceed with caution. There have been many a cases where monthly bills have shown up with excessive bandwidth charges. Another scheme is to cap the uplaod and download speeds by your host, thus making the updating and viewing of the site painfully slow.

I am using a host that offers unlimited bandwidth. It only matters if you try to test what "unlimited" means. :D
