Web hosting question

I was looking at web hosting services on yahoo.com and they seem very reasonably priced for the amount of services yahoo provides. However, I haven't been exposed to web service hosting, so I don't know if such packages are provided elsewhere.

Do any of you have advice or preferance for a website hosting service that is on par or better than what Yahoo provides? As this is for a business, I need to have the option of expanding required bandwidth and storage, if necessary.

The site will be database driven. In other words, it will have various information tied to different individuals/users, like files, survey information, etc. Functionality will resemble monster.com (although it's not a site for jobs searches) but certain users will have files that will be available to other users in a search & browsing feature. Obviously there is a requirement for the ability to expand bandwidth and storage as needed.

And why ought I avoid yahoo?
