Becuase NameCheap offers a year of whois guard for free with the normal $8.88 registration?

!!! WINNAR !!!
I didn't realize that was a big deal.

here's info on it., scroll down to #21

It is a big deal (for me at least)

GoDaddy.com
$6.95/yr domain registration for .com TLD
$9.00/yr for Private Registration
==========================
$15.95/yr

NameCheap.com
$8.88/yr domain registration for .com TLD with FREE WHOISGUARD protection

Besides NameCheap's control panel is 100x better than GoDaddy's is.

Also, if i need 5 email addys .... (@mydomainname.com), what all do i need? Does the domain name seller have to support it too?

Like Namecheap's
"FREE E-mail Forwarding (you@yourdomain.com)" ?

are you looking for a simple hosting solution? or a content management solution? I'd use Squarespace for cms stuff. Alot of depth/options, and overall really good interface.

How about web hosting companies where can you review options on what to get?
most of the thread talked about getting the domain name.

I have a webhosting right now of 500 megs looking to get 1gig.

Received your PM and will reply via e-mail with my web host suggestions.

HostPC recently switched to a new data center which uses brand new Dell servers and quality hard drives. So far my uptime with HostPC has been incredible. Of course bumps/glitches can happen down the road but they seem to be on top of things.

I really think the HostPC.com $15.98 or $29.98/yr plan would be perfect for your needs.

So rossman, for hosting + domain registration,

Should it be HostPC + Namecheap

or HostPC + GoDaddy

or HostPC + HostPC?
