I want to use a specific font that is not default on most Os's. Is there a way to check for the font and prompt the user to download?

TIA

No, as far as I know, unless you write an ActiveX control which will install/copy the font. But this is only for IE on Windows, and the user will receive a prompt first.

I found out quick that embedding fonts is a pain. I just made that part with a graphic instead of trying to use the font. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hehe, thanks for the sig comment.

We always saved texts with fancy fonts as images. You should definitely use Gif because it provides excellent compression and zero quality loss in most cases (when up to 256 colors are used, that is)
