Web Cameras

Can someone point me in the right direction on a very nice quality web cam? I bought a 40 dollar ibm one and it stunk like crap. postage size fuzzy pictures. I'm willing to pay around 200 for a nice one... I'd like to use it as a video conferencing thing if possible, or if not just use it as a way to watch the office/house while i'm away by just typing in an ip.

Thank!

For that kind of money, spend a little more and get a used VHS video cam with composite output -- along with a video capture card (PCI). You'll have much better resolution, color, & light capabilities than any other USB web cam out there.

Most USB webcam out there are limited by the USB bandwidth. My QuickCam Pro advertise a 30fps under 640*480 resolution. But I feel that it's not achieving that due to USB limitation.
