I want a web cam to video conference. I would like really great resolution and really good refresh rates. Anyone have a recommendation or a link to a review on web cams? It would be nice if the web cam were cheap too; Is there a Lite-on of web cams (i.e. great performance for a great price).


Your input would be appreciated.
 
As far as I know, you'll have to pay around $100 for one of great quality. I paid about $30 for mine, it's fairly average, but I think most cams will be.
 
I've found all the older usb webcams to be of horrible quality, totally unacceptable for any type of professional use. The best setup is to buy an old video camera and hook it up to a capture/tv tuner card. You can't beat the quality on that.
