Does anyone even use Netscape anymore besides me? I'm forced to use it at work, (technically I could use IE, but I'd actually have to be careful who saw me using it)I use IE at home. And I have so many problems with Netscape in Windows. What alternative browsers do you recommend?

opera is a decent browser from what ive heard. ive played with it a little bit but not enough to really say positively that its great. anything is better than netscape imho. why is IE so frowned upon at your work?

opera is great, i really like it, there are a few sites that opera has problems with, but its a million times faster than IE and Netscape, also you have to try out the mouse gestures in Opera! sweet sweet stuff.

I've also heard great things of mozilla.

Yeah Opera is good. I actually quite like Netscape, still use it all the time on my SuSE machine at home.

In University I used to use Lynx (a text based browser) on the Linux machines - that was pretty good fun.

Which version of Netscape are you using? 6.x is quite a bit different then 4.7x. Mozilla is basically the same thing as 6.x

Opera is small and fast and is useable for better then 99% of websites (a little bit worse then netscape 6, but better then netscape 4). It is free, but ad supported, you can remove the ads by buying it for $30.
