Yeah, it was for model WR196. I cannot figure out how to change to channel G. It only comes up as channel A

Just figured it out. If press the channel button once, it will display the channel, then if you press the channel button and hold it, the channel will blink. You can then use the volume button to change the channel.

Hope this helps someone!

David,
I understand "No harm, no foul". You just seemed to suggest that I was floating around your server doing things that I shouldn't be. I just explained what happened.

I found this site to be really handy for getting the FIPS, SAME, whatever codes for the unit. The link is for Colorado. You'll have to go back to the home page or play around for other states.

I have a Oregon Scientific Weather radio (WR8000 Yellow Portable Model) to trade for an Oregon Scientific Weather Clock BA-928, a Weather Thermometer BAR888 or a Weather radio WR196. Let me Know. Thanks.

Guess I'm out of luck on this one, I really wanted one of these too. My OD is one of the ones that are going out of business, and since they were bought out by a liquidator, they won't honor any coupons, price matches or anything. They do have 10% off all of their regular prices though...LOL! Enjoy your toy everybody!

Thanks to Ponyboy25 for starting this thread and to whoever first mentioned that the BAR-888A weather clock that sets itself to the NIST atomic clock signal was also on sale. I have been planning to get such a clock for sometime and was lucky enough to get a couple of the BAR-888A's at one of the Albuquerque OD stores. The clocks work very well -- and for only $4.88 they were an absolute steal. Thanks again for the info. I would never have known of the sale without the info in this thread.

Cool, my first thread that goes over 100 posts. I'm da sh!t! Aww hell yeah! Actually, I think this is only like the 2nd or 3rd thread I've started. I guess I just got lucky and brought up a good deal. The thing that dissappoints me is that some people went off and cleared out the stores for themselves. IMO, I thinks that just down-right sh!tty and selfish, but I guess that's the way the world works. Myself, I just bought what I needed at my local OD, and left the rest for other Ananders. Damn egayers!!:|

Helpful hint for those with a ba-928.
INPUT the altitude (for correct barometer reading) in
METERS.. thus 960ft = 310m.. approx.. etc for example..

Otherwise, the reading with be off the charts.. like 32.42 or something.
heh

One more thing.. are these OUTDOOR sensors weatherproof? waterproof?
repellent? I hate to damage it .. IT might get wet, etc
