Wearing a polo shirt without a white tee.

I always wear an undershirt, unless I am wearing a regular T-shirt.

I've never had sweat soak through an undershirt to the shirt on top.

and I don;t understand the point of wifebeaters. They don't give any coverage in the areas that sweat the most, might as well not wear an undershirt at all.

Up until 2 years ago or so i NEVER wore a white undershirt. Now, I ALWAYS wear one..polo, button down, even regular T's. Its so much more comfortable and looks much more presentable, IMHO. I dont understand the point of wife beaters though.

no, you're right. shirts worn underneath function as an undershirt (who would've thunk it).. it helps absorb sweat if youre the sweating type.

i dont sweat ... i dont wear undershirts... except in the winter when it functions as an extra layer.

and undershirts should not be revealed... hence beater types and v-neck cuts.

but kids today wear it intentionally... seeing all these kids with colored tshirts underneath their polo in the summer heat is really comical

In the winter, yes, t shirts under all shirts.

In the summer, no. except when I wear expensive shirts.

<<------ is from the South and it can be pretty hot down here and the humidity.

I usually wear a white t under my polo cuz it picks up sweat in the underarm areas. Otherwise it's just not worth wearing a blue shirt.

Why wear an undershirt with a Polo? That defeats the whole purpose of dressing casual. Especially those of you who wear the wife-beater tank tops under them.

No shirt underneath I think it looks sloppy especially if your white tee is longer then the polo. Also white tees throw off the shape of the polo shirt.

Here's another question. To those who do wear a t-shirt under your polo, are you talking a true undershirt? Something that came in a 3 pack from Hanes? Or do you wear a thicker t-shirt, something that could also be worn by itself.

I wear colored shirts under all of my shirts - white for darker colors. Just looks/feels better IMHO
