Terrifying moment a truck driver is hurled from his cabin into an oncoming car | Daily Mail Online
I really need to get a dash cam.
I really need to get a dash cam.
Just saw that on GMA and my first question was, did they cite the driver for not wearing the seat belt? Of course no one on the morning talk show asked the same question as they are about as air-headed as that driver. And no, I hate shows like GMA, but the wife insists before getting out into the morning traffic.

They should've at least kicked him a couple times for good measure.I don't think they cited him for anything since he died...
As I said, Good Morning America indicated that he was still alive. Had he been reported dead I would not have made the comment I made, but rather he 'got what he deserved'.
I don't think he survived, genuis status revoked...
- Driver Yuttapong Hawilee lost control of the vehicle and swerved across 4 lanes
- Rescuers arrived and rushed him to hospital but he died several hours later
- Police are now investigating and believe he may have fallen asleep at the wheel
Funny, GMA implied he survived. Genius status maintained.
Truck drivers, pilots, delivery drivers, train conductors etc... all get pushed way too far. They are given unrealistic shifts/deadlines and they hardly get a chance to sleep in between each route. Pilots for example sometimes get an 8 hour break between the end of a flight and start of another. From a management perspective, that's fine because you need 8 hours of sleep, but it does not work that way. By the time the pilot finalizes the flight, and gets to the hotel it might be a few hours, then they may need a few hours to prepare for the next flight so they have to get up earlier. So really they get maybe like 3-4 hours of sleep. Transport drivers are in the same boat, they need to deliver a load within say, 10 hours on a route that normally takes 12 if you go the speed limit. That means they can't stop to rest and when they are done their route they have another one with an unrealistic deadline. Though if you run your own trucking company and can run on your own schedule then it makes for a pretty cool job for someone that likes to drive.
True but it is very likely that he would still be alive if he had put his seatbelt on. If you are awake enough to start the vehicle you are awake enough to put your seatbelt on.
Look at this thread. Is must be different because the incident I was thinking about survived. https://abcnews.go.com/US/man-flies-windshield-violent-crash-survives/story?id=55854140Any true genius would have taken one look at that video and thought "yup, he dead". Newton's laws can be cruel bitches at times and this was one of them.
It's sad the guy died, but IMO, not wearing a seat belt or falling asleep while driving fall well within the realm of "get good."
