minus the China thing, there was no real threat. As much as I enjoy partisan bickering it never solves anything. No one ever changes their mind and everyone just comes up with increasingly bitter and personal insults that probably aren't true.

They are the janitors of the military world, cleaning up the huge crap our administration took in Iraq.

It doesn't get more cut and dry.

There were no weapons, there was no threat, only a dictator sitting on vast oil reserves who didn't want anything to do with the US, and that was his undoing.

It's a sad thought, but I have no doubt that history will regard the war in Iraq as the biggest mistake we made in the war on terror.

It's about respect for the office, it's not about what's in it for you. I know we've become a lot more casual as a society, and decorum has gone out the window, but I think that if you're going to meet the president, you ought to not show up in beachwear. If you're just touring the white house, wear what you want. But meeting the president is supposed to be an honor, at least care enough to wear nicer sandals. If someone was giving me an award, I wouldn't wear sneakers.

He is saying that the things they do in Iraq have nothing to do with security in the United States. Iraq is Iraq. The things they are doing is to fight the insurgency and to help stabilize the Iraqi government.

In my mind, the war in Iraq and the war on terror are two completely different things - why?

The war in Iraq focuses on Iraq.

The war on terror focuses on our safety here at home.

We are fighting two wars.

The September 11th Commission dismissed ANY collaborative relationship between al Qaeda and Iraq.

And "one at a time?" When was Saddam captured? December 2003? That was almost 20 months ago. If it took seven months to find Saddam, technically we should have caught 3 more leaders who hated the U.S.A.
