Troops that understand why they are there: 120,000

Count my brother as one of them.

Yes, you can let them know I am equally excited about the prospect of oil exports.

You are so brainwashed by those dems.

At least my brainwashing keeps my comfy at home, as opposed to the brainwashing it takes to drive a supply truck along a bomb-laden dirt road halfway across the globe.

Probably on welfare, right?

We are at war, China threatened us, women get raped, children are starving, AIDS is spreading...

And you're worried about some flip flops?

Not doing too bad, actually. Much better than getting paid a lower-class wage to be a human bomb detector in Iraq.

Not doing to bad on welfare? I pray someday you get drafted. You have no respect for the men and women that risk their lives for your security.

Soldiers in general. If you don't know you never will. I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise. It's okay a lot of people live life clueless as hell.

I want to know this too. How can people use that argument with a straight face? What positive effect does the Iraq war have on our security? It has created terrorism and given fuel to recruitment for terrorist organizations that attack us and Europe.

I'm glad middle-school humor hasn't escaped you. That should make you an ideal candidate for the military.

Make sure you let the people in London know how great a job our troops in Iraq are doing to protect their security.

How about you tell me?

I have much respect for anyone who puts their life on the line for a good cause - be they foreign or domestic.

But I mean it. How are the soliders in Iraq protecting my security.

Soldiers are soldiers no matter where they are and without any soldiers we would not have this free country. Can no one understand this?

So in other words, you have no explanation as to why soldiers in Iraq are protecting our security.

Just checking.

We do understand the concept of having a standing military. Without one, countries would try to attack us.

We don't understand the concept of how having our military fight a war in Iraq is keeping us safe.

Here is a list:
1. Many terrorist leader have been caught
2. The terrorist are using most of their resources in Iraq and have less for here
3. Once Iraq is stable it will be better than having a dictator ruling the country that hated the U.S and supported terrorist.

Need more?

your comment proves you are a typing posting douchebag. please go back to your P&N hole.

and as far as the flip-flops being worn by the women's lacrosse team in the White House, i say BFD. the girls were all wearing nice, respectable dresses, and didn't have their b00bs hanging out or their bellys exposed.

i highly doubt the Prez gave a sh!t, so everyone else can get off their high heeled horse.

It's only disrespectful if you intend it to be disrespectful. I don't know these women so I have no idea of their intentions.

I walk around my home barefoot. If I were to ever live in the White House, or stay the night for any reason, I would be walking around barefoot. Am I disrespecting the place? No, I'm just being comfortable.

Or do you need to consult your democrat leaders for an answer because you obviously can?t think for yourself.

I can't think for myself? You're the one that's having trouble with a simple question. My political stance has no bearing on my question. I can be Democrat, Republican, Indie or undecided and it still a realistic question. How are soldiers IN IRAQ protecting our security IN AMERICA. We have terrorist enemies all over the middle east, Iran is calling us a threat, Korea hates us and China is threatening us with nukes if we point ours the wrong way... and you mean to tell me that we as Americans are safer because we took out a guy who hates Doritos?

1. Yes, many al-Qaeda operatives were caught when we invaded Afghanistan. Many have also been caught in Pakistan. Where's the big list of the al-Qaeda operatives we caught in Iraq?

2. You can't be that dense. You think there is a limited supply of cheap explosives in the world, a limited amount of funding to buy them, or a limited supply of terrorists willing to use them? We don't even truly know how many resources the terrorists have. All it takes is a few people and a few pounds of explosives to wreak havoc on our society; according to most intelligence officials, the question isn't IF, but WHEN will they next attack us on our soil. And when they do, your argument for Iraq will go out the window, just like it did for the people in London.

3. You're correct, but Saddam isn't the only leader who hates the US and we certainly aren't invading them.
