If you don't realize that Saddam would annihilate the United States if he had the capability, there is no hope for you. I'm not a Bush fan (I voted for Gore), but war propaganda is hardly a new tactic. The American public, for the most part, is easily swayed by emotion, and every administration since the formation of this country has attempted to utilize that to their advantage.

Frankly, the mass graves found within Iraq completely justify the war in my opinion. Saddam's rule was the worst human tragedy since the Holocaust.

Sadly, there are times when diplomacy is impotent and war is necessary. Whether we want to accept it or not, silence makes us conspirators in untold human suffering and death by allowing such a thoroughly malignant cancer to exercise power on this planet.

Last I checked, the United Nations is a completely worthless, corrupt organization. It has all the power and legitimacy that student government had in high school.

But I guess if it makes you feel better, we could've waited another 4-5 years for France and Germany to play out their lucrative economic deals with Iraq. With luck, only a few thousand more Iraqi citizens might have been killed, a few thousand more Iraqi women and children would have been raped and beaten by Saddam's soldiers, and only 40 or 50 more ridiculously extravagant palaces would have been built in a country that lacked all but the barest of essentials.
