Weapons ban being lifted?

I seem to recall that I saw something on TV about Bush not renewing the ban on assault weapons? Something about his supporters are pro-gun where the Clinton's supporters were much more liberal?

If I am right and the weapons ban is being lifted, how soon can I get a full auto AR10? And what about hand guns that can hold more than 10 rounds?

Seeing as how I just turned 18, and I don't know when the ban could be back on, I should stock pile full auto assault rifles, if it's possible. And maybe get someone to "hold" a few handguns for me until I'm 21.

Fall, 2004. October I believe, but I am not sure on exact date. Bush WILL sign it if it comes before him, but he isnt pushing it through congress. Right now, he is playing both sides of the fence...if it comes to him, he can say that he put it into law, if it doesnt, he can blaim congress...whatever may suit his needs.

Personally, I would like it lifted. I'd like to get me a couple rifles to take to the range. That and I dont want America going nazi germany on me.

And while I have this thread: If they lift the ban, can I get a suppressor? Or do I still need to find a class 3 arms dealer and yada, yada...

I mean, if the killer mutant attack deer hear where I'm firing from they might be able to sneak up on me.
