Wealthy Republicans bash Bush

Novak-Town Hall

ASPEN, Colo. -- For two full days, George W. Bush was bashed. He was taken to task on his handling of stem cell research, population control, the Iraq war and, especially, Hurricane Katrina. The critics were no left-wing bloggers. They were rich, mainly Republican and presumably Bush voters in the last two presidential elections.

I'd be willing to bet we're going to see more than a few position changes in the Bush admin as a result of this. The 06' elections are looming & these folks control the pursestrings.

If elections were held now, I agree.

06 elections are a long way away and anything can happen....and usually does.

When you have a 38% approval rating, there's bound be be several in your own party that's not happy. Time will tell.

Bush is never running again, and my guess is more than a few want some space from him to keep their political future alive.

Probably a smart move.

I am generally a Bush supporter, but all of this deficit spending is pissing me off

What you don't like it when he tries to bribe his way out of his FEMA appointment fvckup?

See what you do when people get mad about your handling of a situation is you start throwing money at that situation. Lots and lots of money I'm reminded of the IBM commercial where the kinds advisor recommends throwing gold at their problem. There are solutions, and there is throwing money at the problem. He choose the later.

Problem is, there's the small matter of their voting record, and their effusive praise and support for the current CinC, along with the photos, joint press releases, etc... not to mention that it's kinda like joining the Mafia, anyway- it was pretty pathetic, watching even McCain, still smeared in Turdblossom's goo from 2000, out there glad-handing for the team...

I'm not surprised that we'll soon witness a "blame Bush" movement on the Right, even though Dubya is just a hand-picked mouthpiece, anyway... If you want to know who runs the Republican Party, you'll need to look no further than the BOD's and major contributors of various Right thinktanks- that's where the money and the leadership really originate, and that won't change anytime RSN... Bush is disposable, if necessary, as are the other visible leaders...

Glue is a hell of a drug . . .

Mold spores + lead paint fumes + carbon monoxide + mom's basement

'Nuff said! 😉

Sometimes, I long for the resurgence of some real leftists, people who advocate the confiscation of private property and the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, just so that the misidentification of mainstream and liberal thinking as "leftist" can cease. For guys like zendari, anybody less "conservative" than John McCain is a commie, and even he is suspect... unreliable... he's actually been known to think, rather than parrot the party line...

I'd advise anybody to read through the PFAW material, just so they can understand what the current wave of Right-think is all about, and who's financing it...
