Weak Performance?

Hey all,
Recently upgraded my system and although it is very stable, I seem to think that it isn't performing as well as it could.

At default with 3dmark2001 The system scores a measly 3308 3dmarks, that is little over 400 more than my OLD system. Anyway, i'll list all the hardware below.

AMD K7@1ghz (1ghz, 266mhz)
EPoX 8KHA
LeadTek Geforce 2 gts/PRO 64mb
256mb pc2100 DDR - Crucial
SoundBlaster Live Plat.
Maxtor 40gb Hard Drive
HP 9500 series CDRW
Generic DVD-Rom
300w Mwave p/s

Using the latest released (On the Nvidia site) det 3 drivers (12.something). Latest via 4n1.

Any suggestions on what could be done to improve performance?

that does seem a tad low... u got the lastest 4-> 1's?

overclock that video card a tad?

leadtek is a great overclocker...

oh yea.. what was your prevouis system?!

well i get 3350 on my system. i have a slower Video card than u but i have a faster CPU.

Dont know much about the 8kha but maybe thats slowing it down. if u got a 8k7a maybe u get better scores (remember i dont know much about your mobo all i know is the 761 chipset is the third fastest now. SIS and ALI is faster now.

Did u install the via agp driver in turbo mode? this enables agp4x!

Also tweaking the bios can have a huge affect on performance!
