We will live to be 1000 years old

There are some great benefits to a longer lifespan, but is it worth it? It devalues life considerably. No thanks, I'll take my 35 years instead of 1,000.

If i can live to be 1000, I would die in the year 2977. :Q Probably have medicines that'll practically make us immortal then if we're still around.

that would suck for planet resources,
and for the people that post about being "bored".

Also I am not sure if I would want to have sex with soemone over about 70..............😱

Methuselah lived a Long time.

I would bear the burden of being immortal & watching all my friends & family die. I know with that much time I could surely make a difference. It would also make all those lifetime memberships that much valuable. 🙂

Our technology has not yet reached a point where we could deal with such a drastic reduction in the death rate, assuming the birth rate stays anywhere near it's current level.

I would/will support this when we develop the capacity to move through space easily and to terraform.

The flip side of the coin is that all of the people you hate will also live to be 1,000. That's a lot of years to put up with them.

"back when i was your age, we didn't have holographic direct imprint music. no sir, we had something called tapes. and we actually used our ears to listen to it! you kids today have no idea how good you have it!"

So will the whole aging process slow down? So will 200 years old be like 20 now? otherwise you can count me out.

no, they'd start doing surgery on you when you turn 45 and then every 10 years or so.

I would be interesting if only me and select people could live this long. If everyone did earth would basically run out of resources
