I'd love to see it, but after hearing Mel Gibson's accent (for the movie) on the previews...I don't know if I could take 2 hours of it. It just pierces my skull.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, man, saw the promos for this on TV. Half of me wants to see this badly, but I just don't think I can bring myself to go. I was young once, too.
Mel Gibson is a good actor.... Black Hawk Down was sooo plagued with language it was sad..... I can handle like Saving Private Ryan language but the language in Black Hawk Down was excessive.
A Beautiful Mind was better than both. Russel Crow is an amazing actor.

The guy Gibson plays is from Kentucky. I believe that should explain the accent. And yes I am from Kentucky.

I can't speak from any personal experience but the feeling I get is that you're going to be cursing a lot when people are dying guys are shooting at you. I'm kinda with you in that I don't feel the movie would have 'lost' anything if they had dropped some of the language, but it doesn't bother me either. The point of BHD was to show what it was like for those soldiers on that day... and it seems pretty accurate to me. If you're going to show people getting blown to smithereens, how are a few bad words going to hurt?
I thought they were both good movies. About Mel's accent, I think the parts in the trailer was the worse of it. It didn't really bother me in the movie. The trailer throws it way off.

BHD was meant to be a real portrayal of battle.. almost like a documentary.. Do you think people who are seeing their friends getting blown away left and right use words like "please" and "thank you" most of the time?
