"We stopped selling the Whopper" Commercials

I understand the point of the commercial, but what the hell is wrong with people that they get so pissed about it? "I want your manager at your window when I get there?" WTF! :| Does anyone else get angry/depressed when they see the reactions people give?

I eat at BK more than I should, but I think that I'd just shrug my shoulders if they told me that the Whopper was gone and get an Angus burger instead.

I'm not sure what I'd do if I got a Wendy's burger or Big Mac, though... I guess that I'd ask why, but wouldn't make a huge fuss.

I'd be ticked if they ditched the whopper. It's a pretty good burger. What the frig else do they sell that's not a whopper or whopper related? Chicken sandwiches? It just wouldn't be Burger King without the Whopper.

Yea, its just a damn cheeseburger....they just came up with a dumb name for it. Who cares? I'd be surprised, but I wouldn't get all whiny like those people.

Telling people the whopper was gone was silly enough, giving them a Big Mac was just dumb. The big guy in the white T-shirt looked like he was ready to beat the piss out of that kid.

good to see the emo angst ridden kid with his never ending story shirt throwing a mini hissy fit

now just imagine if hot topic ran out of black nail polish - he'd have kittens

I worked in customer service for 4 years.

yes, people get very upset over very stupid things.

damn 4 years, I did it for 3 months and had enough.

getting yelled at all day could suck, but it paid more than most of my friends made working retail in high school, I could surf the net while on the phone, and it was air conditioned all summer 😛

The stupid whopper isn't even good. The closest thing to a hamburger in fast food that I have had (besides In-N-Out) is a Famous Star from Carls Jr.

ROFL you guys actually think they are real and not staged...come on

LOL at people believing just because it says "hidden camera"

I took that one as not about love for the sandwich, but rather thinking some jerkoff employee was pulling his own personal prank. Actually, most of them can be explained much the same way.

This campaign fails with me.

Cheap ad. Unoriginal idea. Doesn't make me want the whopper. It's only a preaching to the choir one.

I think thats the funniest part, that people actually believe its real. While I don't doubt there are plenty of people who would react like that, do you think they would do something like that in a non controlled environment?

I don't know how this is supposed to make me want a whopper. I was never really a fan of BK's burgers... don't like the whole flame cooked thing. They just NEVER seem juicy to me.

I don't really care about the whopper but I have been upset when I went to get a seasonal treat and they stopped carrying it.
By upset I mean I say something along the lines of "damnit... I loved that thing... you should bring it back" best example was the $1 wendy's spicey chicken sandwich... they were so tasty and only a buck... Tendercrisp bacon chedder ranch was another...

Wow, Burger King, McDonald's, and Wendy's could go away and i wouldn't notice. Don't remember the last time i was at any of them.

I must say, this thread made me put on my shoes, go out, and get a whopper...

I am eating it as I type this... mmm.

The commercial has succeeded in selling one more whopper.

Whopper is the bomb. I love their unique marketing campaign that really turned the company around about 4-5 yrs ago.

Remember those BK games for Xbox? Brilliant.
