Honestly, I don't think there's anything in it except that they want to catch up. Sorry to bring you down to Earth.

<< weezergirl - thanks, now i'm even more confused. :p most of those signs have been exhibited. especially the dressing up and looking more feminine bit. it would be like you changing from jeans/tshirt to a skirt and sweater, dress, etc. >>

hahahha! they like u. end of story. :)

<<

the problem is that i don't want to lead them on, and i also don't want them to feel "rejected". like i said before, we generally call each other up and it's more like "let's go to ____ for dinner/lunch." not the "we should get together and have dinner sometime". and since i am a guy, i would rather not put myself in such a tempting situation. don't wanna complicate things.
>>

start talking about how much u are in loooooove with this one girl who likes weezer. but how she has a bf already and u need to find a way to win her over. ask her for advice.

in other words, just show her that your mind is elsewhere. or bore her by talking about another girl. :) then she will know u are totally clueless about her liking u and won't expect anything because she sees u like somebody else.

How would you intrepet this one:

As I was "pursuing" my girlfriend (that is, we weren't a couple yet, just good friends). I talked with net-friend (of several years). She said to me "If I were her, I wouldn't let someone like you slip away from my fingers". Now, what does that mean? Was she "interested" in me? Well, real relationship with her would have been difficult since we were in the opposite side of the globe.

And then there's another friend of mine. In fact, she's a mutual friend on me and my girlfriend (my girlfriend introduced us to each other (we weren't together yet then). As me and my girlfriend got together, she said "I always knew She would come to her senses...". And that sounded a bit puzzling. Was she too interested? Why did she think that it was a good thing to get together with me?

Damn you women! Always giving these mixed-up signals :D!

post-mortem = past death

And TuffGuy just go with the flow. Why are you not attracted to the one who is starting to dress up more? Obviously you get along with her very well, or so it seems.

Like I said go with the flow, if she starts showing signs, maybe take some chances. I didn't with a girl (who found out she didn't like me anyway, or so her friend says) but it still made me feel like I could of tried and then when my friend went out with her I was like damn MAYBE slight MAYBE that could of been me.

So take a chance, IF YOU WANT.

You got one right here! My girlfriend was my best friend for a year before we got together. Now she's my best friend AND my girlfriend :)

are there any other possible indications of interest? if not, it's probably dinner. need some other "evidence" :)

Or, it could mean "I'd like to go out for a nice dinner and not have to end up in the sack later, and you have some money to pay for it."

I always had that problem turning friends who were girls into girlfriends. They are my good friends but never attracted to me in "that way" ... Ugh ... Mysteries of life.

good idea. i'll just play dumb.
NakaNaka - he said post modern, not post-mortem. i've been friends with them for way to long. and although they're cute, i just never thought of them in that way.

Jfur - yeah, there are. little gifts, massages, cooking/baking me stuff, tagging along with me to the arcade just to watch me play. and other more subtle things.

NakaNaka - start working out and wearing wife-beaters and boxers. it does wonders.

In reference I said some stuff like that to a girl awhile ago, and yes I was interested in her.
