who cares what games need ... my ego needs a 9800!!!
I went from Intel Integrated Graphics --> ATi Rage Pro --> GeForce4 MX 440SE --> 9000Pro --> 9500Pro --> 9700Pro in less than 8 months! Got bit by the video upgrade bug big time, my wallet sez OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, u stupid muthaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA!!!
We should all wait because doom 3's release date is 11/15/2003 and most other upcoming graphic intensive games are scueduled for early 2004. I think we should just hold off till prices go down, theres no need for 9800 with current games.

LOL
You care when and how other people spend their money? Why?
I say you should wait till Q2 04 to upgrade your cpu, because some games will be coming out then. You have no need of a cpu till then.
Stop exaggerating dude... The guy is clearly just trying to inform people so they can save a few bucks if they "wish" to.
Use your head.
What? You don't care what I say? Why not?

What if Doom 3 sucks?
So what? You had absolutely no reason to reply to his post, but you did anyway. Proof that people do things they don't absolutely have a reason for, like my post here. Just because they have a reason you may not agree with (to state a personal opinion) doesn't mean they haven't got a reason Rollo. Personally, I think you just get off on complaining, seeing as how you do it so often.Originally posted by: Rollo

Use yours. He has absolutely no reason whatsoever to "advise" us to hold off buying VGAs. I didn't exaggerate either, I did EXACTLY the same thing, only substituting a cpu for a VGA, to illustrate how ludicrous his original post was.
Who buys what, when, why where is nobody's business but their own.
Here-
I'm not going to buy a nV35 till the first price cut. Join me, it's foolish to pay $400-$500 for a VGA.
This is not "informing", it's just dumb, useless "advice".

Dude have you seen the AL (alpha leek) that was based on technology last may at E3 and its still jaw dropping a year later.
Does anyone know if it can only be run on a DX9 card? Just curious, I'm chillin with a 9700 Pro, looks spectacular.

When you get your issues sorted out, come talk to me. Until you learn to be congenial and not in a constant argument ready state, do us all a favor and dont even touch your computer. Just stay off. Read a novel, take up knitting, I don't care. Just calm down will ya? Oh, and cut out the coffee or any other caffiene inclusive substances. Take 2 personality pills and type to us in the morning.
