I'd bring it back and say it was defective. ;)

The only indestructable dog toy I've ever seen was made out of an old tire.

How old were the spikes? 'cause a lot of plastic spikes were made from specific types of plastic that crazes after a number of significant temperature/condition changes.

If you bought them at anyplace but an actual outdoors store -- like REI -- then you likely got some with "planned obsolescence(sp?)", meaning they were supposed to fail. Shell out the extra dough and get some real ones; they'll last for a long time.

My 150lb lab pops good tennis balls with one chomp....he once bit another lab and had the whole dogs head in his mouth. He reached over and bit him on top of the head. He is is 90%lab and 10% Great Danes, do he has the eight and the mass. But the biggest baby, and the best dog i have ever seen with kids.

i think the yellow ones i have came from a sporting goods store. I do have some solid metal stakes, so i used those when the plastic one broke. My dad bought the metal ones a while back when we had trouble with the abs ones not going through rocky dirt very well.

actually my dog does have a toy that he hasnt chewed up yet, and it is a porcupine that is from the baby department at Wal-Mart. He likes the squeak, so he walks around squeaking it in his mouth. Cant leave a stuffed animal around him....gone in 60 seconds.

My lab (80lb) usually chews threw any toy I give him within the day. I bought him a couple of Kong brand toys(one oblong snowman looking thing and a ball) a couple months ago and they're still going strong.

Yep, Kong toys are the only thing my dog (half lab, half retriever) didn't destroy. She even demolished a golf ball once. Luckily she wasn't into eating what she destroyed otherwise that probably would've been an expensive vet bill.

What was it?

So far the only really "indestructible" toys I have found are KONG toys and Kevlar Frisbees.

I don't think Pet Smart sells the Frisbees thought...

Bacon has chewed through 2 Kong toys; the rhino bone as well as the usual stuffable kong toy.
