Liberty University Debate is 2004-2005 American Debate Association National Rankings Champions

Liberty University Debate wrapped up its eighth American Debate Association National Rankings Championship and 15 overall national rankings championships this past weekend at the ADA National Championship Tournament held at the University of Georgia. Liberty finished its ADA season in strong form advancing nine of its competing teams into the elimination rounds.

The novice team of Georgia Hamman and Kirsten Porter-Stransky brought home the ADA Novice National Championship. The Junior Varsity team of Amanda Costa and Glen Koch finished second losing a close final round to rival Mary Washington. Both varsity teams advanced to elimination rounds with seniors Josh Autry and Jonathan Day finishing tied for fourth place. Liberty?s strong performance held off an end-of-the-season charge by ADA rival Mary Washington. What triumph for the christian right, a debate contest ribbon!
In other news today, Liberty still blows dick compared to the top non religious conservative schools out there.

This has nothing to do with politics or news, it is just pandering by a religious zealot to make himself feel secure about his ignorant beliefs and fantasy school.
Please go on another vacation: no additonal comments by you exist; you are asking for flames and raise no points about government, current events nor anything that would prove useful in broaching a new discussion here.

First of all, try linking to someone other than the school claiming the victory. I can't find much on this ADA except through "Liberty" University. Moreover, there are multiple debating organizations and awards, so this is just one, presented by you as if it is THE championship. Who knows, a lot of important schools might not even attend this ADA event but could attend other events.

Second of all, it is sadly often the case that low ranked schools attempt to cover up this fact by pointing out a high-ranking in a specific specialty. So almost every school will claim some high ranking in say, livestock raising or south african history studies, but fail to point out that they are in the bottom tier of schools generally and have almost no prestige.

Finally, yes, you really could use some help from good debaters.

To me, all this says is that Liberty U happens to have a few people who are good at arguing.

This means something, anything to me why?

A man can become one with God when his love for God becomes as great as God's love for him.

This potentiality which occasionally becomes a reality, the Jesus case, for example, confuses almost everybody. It becomes difficult to separate what is God and what is Man.

Those who emphasize the God side talk past those who emphasize the Man side. Those who believe that God is out there and those who believe the Man is deluded or a fiction of other people's imagination will always find rationalizations for their case.

But while millions argue if God is God or illusion, others die in His Love.

To love with the Love of God is to transcend argument or faith. You will know it with a doubt.

Eh, it's not like there are a lot of colleges that participate in this program. Liberty U has a 1 in 74 chance of winning, not exactly hard odds :p

I thought you were looking for an engineering school, not a debating school.

What's a "debating school"?
You tell us. You created a thread about it.

LOL :p

Sorry, I didn't create a thread about a "debating school". I created a news thread about a unversity debate competition where Liberty University ranked first.

Here's a link to Liberty University's academic programs.

I don't see any degree progams in "debating".

Tell us then, Rip, why you did create this thread? You were trolling, pure and simple.

Just turn around, go stick your head in the sand, and leave the adults up here to actually engage in discussion.
