Liberty University Debate is 2004-2005 American Debate Association National Rankings Champions

Liberty University Debate wrapped up its eighth American Debate Association National Rankings Championship and 15 overall national rankings championships this past weekend at the ADA National Championship Tournament held at the University of Georgia. Liberty finished its ADA season in strong form advancing nine of its competing teams into the elimination rounds.
The novice team of Georgia Hamman and Kirsten Porter-Stransky brought home the ADA Novice National Championship. The Junior Varsity team of Amanda Costa and Glen Koch finished second losing a close final round to rival Mary Washington. Both varsity teams advanced to elimination rounds with seniors Josh Autry and Jonathan Day finishing tied for fourth place. Liberty?s strong performance held off an end-of-the-season charge by ADA rival Mary Washington. Liberty next travels to the National Debate Tournament hosted by Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington to attempt to defend its 2003-2004 NDT rankings championship.
