The feigned outrage from the righties in this thread is funny.

Did you guys ever consider why their ratings are so high? Maybe it's because they're the ONLY channel that is so deliberately right leaning and sheeple like to be told what they want to hear? Fox News is like The Matrix for conservatives.

Fox News is great imo. I can say to someone "Do you watch Fox News?" at the beginning of a conversation and save myself from tons of pointless conversation.
I don't really know my own rep here, but I would guess I am viewed as one of the more consistently liberal (though not radically leftist) posters here. That said, I watch Fox News regularly. Restrict your intake, restrict your viewpoint and soon you're just another partisan hack parroting the Party Line.

FWIW, I also listen to Rush fairly regularly (we have one mechanic in the hangar who is a confirmed dittohead with a radio on his toolbox), I catch about half an hour of CNN Headline daily (morning), half an hour of local news (NBC station, night), O'Reilly and/or Hannity & Colmes (once or twice a week), and the regular Sunday morning panels. I also read two local newspapers (Upstate SC), Slate, Fox News online and BBC.

Back OT, let Fox cover whatever they want and say whatever they want. There's good reason it's the First Amendment. However, if this video is going to be typical of their coverage, they may need to revise their motto:

Faux News: We Distort, You Decide

More liberals should be like you. Most of them used to stand proudly upon the saying "I disagree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." Now it's become "I disagree with what you say, and I'll have a hate speech law passed against it!".

I agree, but the problem is that fox news is a pile of crap. Sure, expand your view, read conservative sources, but I will read / watch legitimate conservative sources, not government mouth pieces.

for instance, christian science monitor or the american conservative

I'm guessing you didn't click the link in the OP? Go find something similar ON A NEWS SEGMENT on cnn or msnbc and post it. Try youtube.

No, it can't. It is undeniable that Fox has significantly less accurate news coverage than any other news network. This is by design. Please actually go research this. MSNBC doesn't have a guy at the top telling everyone which story to concentrate on and the type of spin to apply. MSNBC, CNN, etc. report the news and have a balanced presentation.

Hell, CNN has more conservative hosts than liberal, yet conservatives still insist that it's giving a liberal slant to everything.

Just because the conservatives in power have made a lot of mistakes to report on doesn't mean that the media has a liberal bias.

If so, it's not due to Faux. They were never part of "journalism" as the term is defined by rational human beings.

Don't tell me to go research something before you get your own facts straight. I didn't state that Fox was presenting things accurately, you misinterpreted my post. Read it again if you want.

As for your comment that MSNBC reports the news and has a balanced presentation...ever watched Keith Olbermann? I don't need to explain myself there. Wow.

lol

Olbermann's show isn't news, it's an editorial piece I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

It is. I'm far from Conservative and I honestly find him quite annoying. Still interesting to watch if just to see how childish he can be.

EDIT: Fuck me for bumping a dead thread. Damn link from another thread...
