We might be getting a new kitty *FRONTAL PICS*

Ok here's the situation.

A buddy at work took in a kitten (about 5 weeks old) last week. Turns out his roommate is very upset as they agreed not to have pets in their apartment. They have 5 months left on a lease and then he plans on getting his own place.

Originally he was going to groom it back to health (it has ear mites, was malnourished, he paid $200 in vet bills to bring the cat back to health) and give the cat away, but he became attached very quickly. His roommate is not budging on the "no pets" issue.

My wife (quintiscential cat mom btw) caught wind of this and offered to take in the kitty. My friend even offered to pay for the kitten's food and litter for the next several months.

The only catch is our apartment complex has a "2 cat" limit. We already have two cats (Wilson and Salem, will post pics later). If the complex found out I suppose they could break our lease. However, the chances of them finding out is probably pretty slim.

Here is a pic of Akira.

**UPDATE**

My buddy brought over the kitty today and of course my wife and I fell in love with it. He still says he'll pay for his vet visits, etc. and will pick him up when he's ready to move. He's a cute little guy.

BTW my wife didn't like the name Akira. She exclaimed "he's such a pip!" and his new name was born 🙂.

awwww what a fuzzy little kitty 😀

oh, and theres no way in hell they'd figure out unless all 3 cats run to the door the moment the maintenence guy walks in to change the air filter

hahaha...it does look like a little furball...

So, do you want to take the chance at getting kicked out if they do discover you have three cats? is there NO one else that can take the poor thing? I would only take it as a last resort, like if it was either i take it or the kennel takes it.

EDIT: or if they discover the kitten, just tell them the cat is a friends and is only visiting with the other cats in the apartment.

Dood there is something wrong with your digital camera. There is this black fuzzy spot right in the middle of the........

ohhhhhhhh how CUTE!!! I love kitties!

/end effeminent moment.

This is what I'm thinking, good call 😉

No more pictures, don't have the little guy yet. But I might later tonight. 🙂

When I was going looknig to rent my apartment a year ago, we were driving around the property on one of thier golf cart things with the lady who worked there. We went past one apartment that had three cats out on the balcony. The lady said "Hey, they're only supposed to have 2 cats".

There are still three cats on that balcony every day. No one cares.

i almost got a cat this weekend. But my mom talked me out of it. She reminded me that changing litter boxes gets old. I wouldn't know because i never changed my cat's litter box...she did.
