thats the common held belief! I tend to agree...however, think about sources of airborne yeast... wild yeast is wild yeast and it has to come from somewhere!

I seriously doubt if wild yeast comes from there. They say the best way to make a lambic is to stick the primary in your attic uncovered. You know that kind of yeast isn't going to be rampant in the attic.

Think about how they traditionally made wine - stomped it into juice with their bare feet. I'm certain that the original yeast strain for fermenting wine came from feet.

heheh touche, however, yeast for wine is typically found on the grapes, as yeast for ciders are traditionally found on apples. Of course the equipment used for juicing becomes a culture for these yeasts. Clearly, the woman is making a statement about our physical connections to each other...still, old beer brewing methods were very much at the whim of the environment.
