My bro was driving, and i was sitting shotgun. We were waiting for cars to turn out of a driveway, and there were 2 cars in front of us waiting for the car to turn. We were in the very right lane.

There was a black civic stopped behind us.

All of a sudden a lady in an MPV smashed into the civic and the civic smashed into us.

We didn't hit any cars in front of us.

OUr car is cool -- there are some scratches on the bumper....

the civic is jacked - bumpers were both torn off.

THe mpv has no physical damage, but it wouldn't start.

THe police came and took all our info down. I think the lady in the mpv has an invalid license or something (i could hear her on the phone in Spanish, and i speak a little Spanish). Plus she was freaking out when the police came.

The guy in the civic was in pain. At the time, i was fine...but i'm super sore now...is that normal? I'm not going to sue anyone, but I just want to know if I"m supposed to be all sore like this.

Anyway, it wasn't a big deal, but I thought I'd share it.

I can see you're from California so an invalid license or people driving without one is nothing new?

Yeah, it is normal. What kind of pain do you have?
It took me a couple days to feel the soreness in my back from my accident.

Wait til you wake up tomorrow morning, you are going to be even more sore. Time to call Larry H. Parker.

Ah, whiplash! At least I'm pretty sure. Comes from your head snapping back and forth during a rear-ender.

Makes sense considering the accident. Classic money injury

Do you really think that will stop them from driving?

thx. :D I think i'll be alright -- i'm not going to sue. The lady made a mistake. A bad one, but i'm alive and a few days of recovery will be alright...

Plus the lady had 2 young kids in the car, and i don't mean to judge a book by it's cover, but i don't think she has a lot of money to begin with. i'd rahter she take care of her family than pay me for taking a few aspirins. :p

Dang, dude. I can sympathize a little. I caught my worst cold in 2 years and now feel like I was hit by a bus. :)

Me too. I have had a nasty virus for the past week. I got it last friday, and had a 103 fever for the frst three days and then for the rest it has been up and down. All the while my throat has felt like a cockroach was stuck in it, and I can barely talk. Oh, and I have been going to school because I take 5 AP classes in the morning that I cannot miss, or I will be fvcked..

Yeah, it is normal to hurt like that after the fact, but seem fine for a while after the accident. I went through one about three months ago. And as for that lady's vehicle, if you didnt see any damage, it prob didnt start because the jolt triggered her fuel cutoff switch (usually in trunk area). I dont even think I should start on the whole illegal drivers liscense thing. There is a thread in P&N about that and I really dont think stepping in that hornets nest would be good since I simply dont have the time for a flamewar. I just dont agree with it, and I'll leave it at that-its a personal opinion. But as long as everyone is ok, thats what matters....hope ya get to feeling better from the soreness...

I feel for ya. I've missed like 2 or 3 classes total the entire 3 years I've been in college. I missed even less than that my last 2 years of high school. 3.8 GPAs so far to show of it. :) It's worth going every single day in the the long run. I give you the stud award.
