We just got a Popeye's Chicken here

Just got back from getting a to go order from Popeye's. It was yummy. The place was in a not so great area in Anaheim, but the staff was friendly.
Got my cajun fix for now. I miss you NOLA.
 
Pioneer's good but neither of the 2 remaining are close to as good as the ones that existed before Popeyes bought them out. In So Cal the best Fried Chicken might be Louisiana, that place pisses me off though for not having biscuits or Mac & Cheese. FUCK A ROLL with my Fried Chicken!

I do not care for that chicken from Popeyes. The texture and taste suggests the chicken might have been bathed in a degreaser at some point between bird and batter.

Ah, I usually skip the biscuit. Well, more accurately, I save it for later.

Fried chicken is pretty filling on its own for me, but I'm not saying I won't eat a lot of red beans and rice if they're there...

I actually take the skin off the chicken and just eat the meat. I'll take a couple bites of the skin but 90% of it goes in the trash (or to the dogs).
 
Popeye's > Church's > KFC > Brown's

The Popeye's here closes damn early, and it's along a main road on the safer side of town, yet the Church's in the hood closes around 9-10, or later. I don't really understand what's up with that.
