We have been getting pop-up ad's on the main Anandtech site. Does someone know how to pass this info to Anand?

I've had a couple pop-up ads on the main anandtech page. Is this something new & authorized by Anand, or is has someone hacked into the server? I know there was a pop-up problem in the forums a few months back that was taken care of.

I know this does not fit exactly into 'forum issues', but I don't know of any other means of contacting the Anandtech team about it.

In the event that you do run across a pop-up, take a second to gather info on it (the site it originated from or links to, for example). This can make it much easier to tell you if "it didn't come from Anandtech"

I got one too when opening up the news page. My "auto-close" sense kicked in and closed it before I could really take a look, but I did notice that at the bottom of the page, the banner ad was some sort of "debt" ad.

Yes, that would be the one that seems to be causing it. Someone go yell at the ad provider, please.

Yeah, I had one too. It even said "Anandtech" in the title bar.

I had the pop up today. It was the "Reduce Your Debt" ad, and I also noticed there was an ad on the top of the Anandtech page for the same thing.

I'm still getting them. Mainly in the news section. I got this latest one on a brand new OS install. This is the first website I have visited on this OS install, so it is not a leftoverfrom another site.

You guys do know that some software can cause this? For example, the free-pro version of SiSoft Sandra comes with N-Case interstitial ad-delivery (at least they tell you about it!) which creates popups on random sites. i believe a bunch of other programs do too. I know kazaa can cause stuff like that.

I thought about that, but my system continually shows up as clean with AdAware. Someone's putting that dang "debt" ad into rotation; and that's the problem.
