Uhh, there are Mexican buffets.

Here in Houston there is Ninfa's among others.

There is Ci Ci's, Pizza Hut and others that have all you can eat pizza and pasta for "italian" buffets.

There all you can eat sushi, chinese, koren, mongolian, barbeque, and tons of others. About the only ethnic found type I haven't seen buffet or all you can eat style is Greek.

Got a mexican buffet near me. You go in, get a seat, than go to the buffet, oops, they don't have the flat bread there, just the fillings. Get some filling, go back to seat. when employee comes by, ask about tortilla's and what not. Find out you have to ask for them. They ask what we want, and we wait 10 minutes for them to bring it out a whopping 3 tortilla shells. Go back to buffet. get more fillings. Go back to seat, when server comes by, ask again for more flat bread. Wait another ten minutes for it to be brought out. Needless to say, I only went there once, and left no tip.

live in San Diego area

local Italian buffet: http://www.alfrescositalianbuffet.com/index.php

I've heard of Mexican buffets, but have never been to one or seen one.

Heard about Indian buffets, but have never been to one or seen one.

I would definitely love for there to be a Greek buffet though.

I've been to a sushi buffet where you can order as much as you'd like and they'll make it on the spot for you. Just be sure to completely finish what is ordered, otherwise you'll be charged for leftoverst hough.

There's an AMAZING Mexican buffet in Bethesda, MD called Guapo's.

It was around $17 for the lunch buffet, but it was fantastic! All you can eat, made to order fajitas FTMFW!!!!

northerners couldn't possible understand/handle real messican food.

but if you have the means, do come to san antonio. Mmm.

to a point i agree. I lived in New Mexico from 9-14 and still have family there. i go back and visit whenever i can.

The "mexican" food there is amazing. its very flavorble and spicy. The "mexican" food around here (IL) is disgusting. it lacks any kind of flavor or spice. people will be saying how good it is and i just give them funny looks. i can't stand it.

There's a Mexican place in Stockton that has lunch buffets. We used to go there when I was a business agent...I got food poisoning there twice...never went back. (shouldn't have gone back after the first time, but there was a big district meeting and attendance was mandatory.

MOST of the Chinese buffets we have here are terrible and many people complain about getting sick after eating there. I don't know how they stay in business, nor why the health department doesn't close them down...

There's one great Chinese buffet in the east bay that used to be GREAT! GOOD food and a wonderful all-you-can-eat sushi bar.

Haven't been there in about 5 years, so I don't know if the quality has changed.

Boomer, haven't you learned? NEVER spend time in Stockton! I mean, seriously, there's nothing there you can't find in Lodi, Tracy, Manteca, Modesto, or Sacramento.

Being near Reno (which I would bet is the 'all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant per capita' capital of the world) I can say that all-you-can-eat sushi can be pretty decent, so long as you go to a place that just charges more and serves a limitless amount of their normal offerings. Places that have special accommodations for the AYCE crowd should be avoided.

There's a Mexican Buffet in the town that I live, however, it's only during lunch time on weekdays (20 miles from work.) That said, I don't really care too much for Mexican food. There's a good Indian buffet near where I work, but it's super expensive. Also there's a really good Chineese buffet too, they have awesome Octopus, crab, crayfish, beef, shrimp, pork, chicken, fish, and tofu dishes and it's under 10 bucks!!!

i haven't seen all you can eat balkan yet.

What the heck? Where do you live OP?

There are Mexican buffets everywhere. There are also Japanese buffets.

Used to be a Messican buffet place here in town called "Poncho's" . Famous for their sopa pillas, at least locally. It closed a few years ago, I miss their chile rellenos and enchiladas.

Will there ever be a Mexican or Italian Buffet styled restaurants?

I've been to a Mexican Buffet (the next day, all you can eat mexican food IS A BAD IDEA)

I've been to all you can eat pasta places and all you can eat pizza buffets. That is close enough.

Those food they serve at Chinese buffets aren't really "Chinese" food.

that's because no one wants 15 different types of rice.

Everyone knows that "chinese food" isn't really the type of food actual chinese people eat. We don't need 15 responses to it. That was only cool about 15 years ago when chinese food wasn't everywhere.

I am not speaking from fact, but there are probably a well over that many types of rice. Just think about all the different kinds you have eaten. Basmati, Jasmine, The stick variety, grits, The stuff you get in rice-a-roni (like 3 different styles), wild rice, brown rice, natural rice, the list goes on. Now think about all the different ways of cooking it.

With that being said I was just pointing out that everyone knows the average China-man's diet revolves around rice. And everyone knows the "chinese food" we eat in America isn't real chinese food.

It did interest me to know that they do eat "American chinese food" in China. I had three friends who went there to live for a few months. Apparently they just Mandarin-ify the American names. Kung Poa Chicken is called something like Gungpow She-Shing.
