I've cut myself a few times breaking off those factory installed PCI slot covers. Now I use needle-nose pliers to break the little buggers.

I talked my neghbor into building his own machine and despite my warnings he wanted to make sure the cpu (1.2 duron) was working before he put on the fan so he put his finger on the cpu and his other hand on the power switch, do you have any idea how you can pull one finger off a cpu while remembering to push the power switch with the other hand? He said "boy! them things get hot fast".

Buahahhhaha :D Extremely funny. Imagine him doing it with an AthlonXP 2100+! BTW did his duron survive? (Notice how I'm so concerned about his duron and am totally uninterested about the state of his finger? ) ;)

I too have got minor scratches and bleeds. Recently my finger hit the CPU fan (everflow 5000rpm); the impact was strong enough and I resolved not to put my fingers inside again...I also got a mild shock once when I touched the PCB of an internal modem (the system was an ATX and I was too foolish to realise that power was still flowing inspite of the system being "off". That was many years back when I was a n00b.

Like people have mentioned before I have cut myself trying to pull out the power cable and also trying to pull out the metal drive bay things. Now if it doesn't come out with a little tug i use pliers. Also I have cut myself by picking up a case with the side off.
