We had a baby girl

Baby Angelina was born on Sunday, February 19 at 10:54am in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She weighed 3050g (6lbs 11ounce) and was 49cm (>19in). Both mother and daughter are fine, and the delivery was very quick (at least from my perspective).

Angelina loves to eat, sleep, and poop. She's quite demanding when she's hungry, but she's pretty quiet otherwise. She doesn't like being bathed, and she seems to prefer being naked. While cute now, I imagine that these preferences will come back to haunt me if she maintains them.

We adore her, but it's not as obvious what she thinks of her mother and me. She stares at us in a way very similar to the way she might regard the furniture. I've asked her about it, but she hasn't said much yet.

Hello

I'm a girl despite looking like a boy.

I hate you all.

I kiss you!

Your parents didn't explain this to you?? Well, the way it works is that when a man and a woman love each other very much, they give each other a "special hug". Nine months later, a baby is born.

Before she was born, she was inside my wife. Now she's outside. The event that marked that transition occurred in the past tense. It's a pretty common expression in colloquial English. My wife owns an Engrish school in Taiwan if you're interested in follow-up lessons.

Congrats -- she's a cutie.

My daughter (turned 2 last December) enjoys running around naked before bath and doing a "naked dance". Like you, I hope that behavior doesn't stay consistent when she grows up. :Q

Congrats! Respect to your wife (ouch) and a wish for a great future for the whole family.

Nice announcement. If you're keeping a baby book stick it in. Folks kept one for awhile, I only saw it when I was a preteen and snooping in the basement, but that "doesn't like being bathed" part made me laugh. I hated baths until I was....wait, how old am I now?

My wife and I had a baby girl, on Feb 28th. She didn't like the bathing initially, but after her cord fell off we started using our infant tub it got better. It has a battery operated shower with reservoir. The reservoir has a temperature indicator on it so you can spray her with clean, warm water to rinse or soothe her. To be honest its pretty low power for rinsing, but she stops fussing as soon as we spray her with the warm water. Might be worth a try.

heh my daughter is 3 (be 4 in a few monhts) and any time she can be naked she takes it! im thinking of duck taping the clothes to her but im sure she would find a way out. Now with it getting warmer its even going to be harder.

sigh i really hope she grows out of this stage soon!

Trust me, when they get to the teenage stage you'll be spending so much on clothes that you'll look back wistfully. Take lots of pictures now, you can use them later as bribery.
